- What is Voxly?
- Voxly is a voice-first AI language learning app. You speak, the AI listens and responds like a patient human tutor. It teaches six languages — English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese — at every CEFR level from A1 to C2.
- How is Voxly different from Duolingo?
- Duolingo is tap-to-answer. Voxly is voice-first. Instead of picking the right word from a list, you actually speak sentences out loud. The AI understands your accent and corrects your grammar in real time. Voxly also uses CEFR levels and SM-2 spaced repetition, which Duolingo does not.
- How is Voxly different from Praktika or Speak?
- Praktika and Speak focus on English only. Voxly supports six European languages at every level. Voxly also bundles SM-2 spaced repetition flashcards for vocabulary retention, which neither Praktika nor Speak offers in their core product.
- Which languages does Voxly support?
- English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, and Portuguese. All six languages are available at every CEFR level from A1 to C2 in a single subscription.
- What are CEFR levels?
- CEFR is the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. It grades proficiency on six levels: A1 (beginner), A2, B1, B2 (conversational), C1, C2 (near-native). Voxly tags every lesson to a CEFR level so your progress is measurable.
- What is SM-2 spaced repetition?
- SM-2 is a scientifically validated algorithm for long-term memorization. It decides when to show you each word — just before you would have forgotten it. Voxly uses SM-2 for flashcards, which is the same algorithm that powers Anki.
- Does Voxly work offline?
- Flashcards cache locally, so you can study vocabulary offline. Voice conversations require an internet connection because the AI tutor runs in the cloud.
- Is there a free trial?
- Yes. You can try 5 voice conversations and sample flashcards for free, no credit card required. Paid plans include a 7-day free trial.
- How much does Voxly cost?
- Monthly plan: 888 ₽ per month. Yearly plan: 5,999 ₽ per year (equivalent to 500 ₽ per month, a 45% saving). Prices may vary by region and currency.
- What platforms does Voxly run on?
- Voxly is a mobile app for iOS and Android. We distribute through Apple App Store, Google Play, and RuStore. A web version is planned but not yet available.
- Is my voice data private?
- Yes. Voice data is processed only to generate your response. We do not sell data and we do not train third-party models on your conversations. See the privacy policy for full details.
- Can I cancel my subscription?
- Yes, at any time. Cancel through your Apple App Store, Google Play, or RuStore subscription settings. No cancellation fees.
- What AI technology powers Voxly?
- Voxly combines state-of-the-art speech recognition (Deepgram Nova-3), natural voice synthesis (Cartesia Sonic 3), and large language models (GPT-4o-mini) tuned for pedagogy.
- When does Voxly launch?
